The Blossom Room… Japanese indulgence

Brief: The Blossom Room is a new Japanese-inspired bar where the theatre of food and drink is served. Various lighting scenes were desired, to journey throughout early afternoon to the early hours. Bespoke Japenese artwork and many more features were to be softly lit providing interest, within a relaxed and welcoming warm environment.

Utilising a wide range of lighting techniques in the front and back of house, we provided the ultimate bar experience whatever time of day you visit the Blossom Room. Lutron controls optimise scene setting, with dimming and colour change facilities meeting the client’s requirements.

The main feature to light was the Japanese blossom suspended from a platform between 2 concrete supporting pillars. We opted to utilise the pillars building mounting platforms, so our DMX controlled RGB colour change spotlights could graze across the surface of the blossom. This provided contrast and drama due to the depth of blossom and foliage used. Discomfort glare control was a critical factor here, so a bespoke snoot was installed to eliminate forward and side glare. Further DMX LED linear lighting to the windows was used so that the specific brand colour of Pink could be used to entice customers from across the square by softly highlighting the frosted glazing.

The bespoke wall mounted back lit angel wings, have proved to be a popular Instagram hit too, so don’t miss your opportunity

The Blossom room is definitely worth a visit……PS The signature cocktail ‘Japanese Old Fashioned’ is worth a try 😉
